What do we think?

Join Dutch artist and designer Piet van den Beuken of Roelofs & Rubens for a wonderful blue and white Delft tile workshop, hand painting your very own designs onto four tiles, which will be fired and posted to your house afterwards. Gathering in the West Berkshire Museum in Newbury, seek inspiration from the original Delft tiles on display, or from Piet herself, whose company designs and produces beautiful handmade tiles, tableware and decorations. Whether you plan to pop your blue and white creations on the wall, to give them as a gift, or simply to use them as quirky coasters for your cuppa, this is a fabulous chance to explore the history of the famous Delft craft – which still makes use of some sixteenth century designs – and to make it your own. Bring along a friend or meet fellow creatives on the day and give an age-old craft a contemporary feel with the guidance of an expert!
