What do we think?
Why not take the musical plunge and start to learn an instrument! Studies have shown that playing an instrument or singing in a choir enhances emotional well-being, brain health, cognitive and hearing functions. Hogan Academy’s Lifelong Learners initiative entitles OAPs and Retirees to have the chance to learn an instrument at a discounted rate. Instruments included in the scheme are guitar (all styles except classical), bass, ukulele, drums, piano and keyboard. You can also have lessons in DJ skills and electronic music production. Lessons take place at Hogan Academy, which is based above the Hogan Music shop in Newbury, Berkshire.
